The medical standards recommendations development

There is a completely new type of activity to which we devote more time. This is related to the global reformation of the approach to the construction of medical facilities – the development of a new DBN for medical facilities and other related documents. Our team takes an active part in providing its recommendations and making amendments to this fundamental document. It is crucial for us that construction meet international standards, not Soviet ones. Of course, we do this on a public basis and involve in the process as much as it possible. You probably may ask – why? Answers are below:

• It is important for us that our thoughts and ideas are heard by legislators. It sounds trite, but can you try to convince the government medical sector institution employees that the humidity of the air in some rooms should be 60%, but not 20%. And this is how the defense goes on each point.
• We help to reform Ukrainian medicine area in a global sense. You will agree, that if international standards for medical institutions are already prescribed in building regulations and without fulfillment they will not be able to receive patients – there will be an immediate desire to improve the facility. But not to leave the building in a terrible existing (such Ukrainian hospitals examples unfortunately, the majority for now). Of course, there is a funding issue, but this is more the owner’s matter, who should be fully involved in the improvement of the facility in his/her region.
• Our experience transforming. As it is saying: first you are just a performer, then you grow into a teacher and share your experience. That is why our skills and experience can be useful in terms to improve medical design not only in the private sector, but also in the public sector. We believe that this is the best we can do for Ukrainian medicine in general.
• Authority in the eyes of the medical community. Increasingly, when mentioning “medical facilities design”, Medical Constructor is mentioned firstly as team of specialists who will help you. We are not unique on the Ukrainian market and that is great – there is a place for healthy competition. Our project started as an initiative for assisting medical facilities in improving their work and the quality of providing services for patients without a financial component for our contribution.

Activities in this area are expanding and are not limited by construction or sanitary regulations.
