Technological task for repair and re-equipment
Context:
The hospital has a 440-bed hospital and 21 anesthesiology and intensive care beds, 12 of which are for newborns, and a consulting clinic for 500 visits per shift. The hospital has 16 inpatient departments, of which: 8 somatic, 6 surgical and 2 intensive care units.
Goal:
- raising standards in decontamination and sterilization services by optimizing the existing environment (premises, equipment, engineering networks, personnel, technological and management processes, etc.)
- reducing the risk of infectious and epidemiological threats and negative impact on the environment
Task:
- development and implementation of solutions that complement the infrastructure of a medical institution
- creating conditions for the traceability and predictability of the handling of sterilizable instruments, including during emergency situations with an extraordinary load
- to implement the rights of personnel to decent working, living and health conditions
Result:
- The existing process of sterilization and disinfection was analyzed. A technical assessment of the existing equipment, facilities, and engineering networks was carried out
- A BIM 3D model of the CSW was developed, with an optimal layout of equipment and facilities in the premises, in accordance with national and international standards for planning sterilization departments
- Recommendations have been made regarding the equipment of the premises of the CSW, engineering networks (water supply, electrical network, ventilation, etc.)
