The first virtual hospital in the metaverse will be launched in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates announced the launch of the first virtual hospital – they promise that patients will reduce the need to visit real medical facilities.

As representatives of the Thumbay Group (an international corporation whose sphere of activity includes various areas of medicine) reported, the developers have already started work on the project, they promise that the first virtual medical facility will be launched already this October.

The developers emphasize the absence of “physical contact”: there will be no need to waste time on the road and possible traffic jams, stand in line, wait for a doctor to examine you. “Your avatar will go to the hospital, talk to a specialist and get actionable advice about your treatment,” Thumbay Group representatives said.

Interestingly, Thumbay Group has promised to provide disabled people who want to use virtual reality services with VR devices that “don’t have to leave the house and make a lot of effort to see a doctor.” Currently, the company is training real doctors on the peculiarities of working in virtual reality.

We remind you that the Thumbay Group hospital is not the only medical facility in virtual reality. Thus, at the end of May, the British dental group Dental Design Studio bought land in the Sandbox metauniverse. Thus, in addition to receptions in 15 real offices throughout the UK, the chain of dentistry will also receive customers in virtual reality. In general, everything will be as usual in virtual dentistry: patients will be able to sit in the dentist’s chair, receive a consultation, enjoy virtual procedures, communicate with the staff and watch videos about dental hygiene.
